and a few words....
I began writing poems and songs around the year 1988 while living in Corpus Christi Texas... I became infatuated with vampires and blood (thanx to Ann Rice and Jesus Christ) and therefore most of my songs have these or related themes. I used to practice singing or reciting alone or to entertain friends in places that were usually desolate but had natural reverb... such as, parking garages, stairwells, train boxcars etc. First recorded material was called Cherie's Boxcar Ballads.. taped occapella in a vacant boxcar in Roseburg Oregon. I have mentally carried this group of songs and poems with me for years...memorizing most of them...upon moving to Houston, July 1994 I reunited with my very dear and respected friend, Keith Christianson who took my material seriously enough to actually collaberate, thus.....STOIC STATUARY evolved.

An April 2004 UPDATE: I am now releasing a 3 poem CD called VAMPOETRY- It contains "The Daughters of Darkness" (poem w/occapella chorus) "The Countess Batori" (poem) and Editors Choice Award recipient from The National Library of Poetry "The Count of Pain" (sung occapella) It was recorded live at Steamers Coffee Shop of Provo UT may 2003...it is expensive, however, if you would like to order it or for more information please email cheriedonoho@hotmail.com
